The National Great Rivers Research & Education Center Summer Internships Program
Website and/or Calendar Links
Each year, the program hosts several college students for a ten-week paid internship. Students are assigned specific river research projects, conduct field experimentation, gain invaluable experience using data/specimen collection and cataloging protocols, and learn out to analyze, synthesize, and interpret data and translate these into research reports. Finally, they experience the challenge and exhilaration of presenting their findings in a symposium specifically designed for student interns.
The Project Summaries document outlines each of the projects, including a summary and intern duties and responsibility for each project. When applying for the program, please keep in mind the Important Program Dates.
