An expert on both large macrofungi and small microfungi, he has described over 100 species of fungi new to science. Andy has published over 120 scientific and popular papers on fungi and has given numerous lectures and workshops to a variety of organizations on the diversity and importance of fungi.
An informal “brown bag” lunch session with experts to share photos for identification and/or information. The event will focus on mushrooms and fungi with Andy Miller as our expert. There will be a short presentation ”Edible and Poisonous Mushrooms of Illinois“ followed by YOUR photos and questions. Do you have interesting photos or specimens you would like to share? Do you need help with identification or more information? Photo quality is not important.
Bring your questions and your lunch. Questions without photos are also encouraged. No question too big or too small. Come, learn and have fun. Please submit images and questions to the email address listed with Fungi as the subject line by April 25 or bring them and specimens in at 11.30 am prior to the event.
Cost: This event is free and open to the public.
Registration: Please fill out the online registration form by April 29, 2019.
