Living near and spending time in greenspace can improve our mental and physical health. Understanding the connection between health and nature exposure is particularly important for our increasingly technological-connected and urbanized society.
In this talk, we learn about the outcomes derived from time in nature and mechanisms that can explain these protective benefits. Current research on the recommended “dosage” of nature exposure from the empirical literature is discussed and promising and innovative techniques to increase people’s time in nature are shared.
