The Summer Piano Institute (SPI) at the University of Illinois offers advanced study for young pianists. Participants will benefit from individual lessons with each SPI faculty member, attendance at daily master classes and access to newly renovated practice rooms all equipped with Steinway grand pianos. Included with the program are performance opportunities and admission to faculty recitals.
New for 2018, SPI is excited to announce that there will be a concerto competition available to all participants for the opportunity to compete for a performance with Sinfonia da Camera, the resident professional orchestra of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, University of Illinois.

Participants must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the program. There is no upper age limit. Younger students may be considered on a limited basis.
Application & Costs
Admission will be on a rolling basis.

- Tuition – $550
- Tuition includes daily access to grand piano practice rooms, private lessons and participation in master classes and the final gala concerts. Tuition also includes admission to all concerts.
- Tuition does not include housing nor meals.
