Engineers Without Borders is an international nonprofit organization committed to advancing the quality of life in impoverished countries via socioeconomically and ecologically sustainable engineering projects. Students from all disciplines design and implement these projects. The
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign chapter is founded on the philosophy of helping developing countries while also holding local events to educate the masses about sustainable development.
Their goal is to help disadvantaged communities improve their quality of life through implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while developing internationally responsible engineering students.
