Description:

"IN SUPPORT OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE"

Principal's Scholars Program (PSP) is a state- wide initiative to prepare pre-college, underrepresented students for success in college and subsequent careers by providing educational exposure opportunities, and fostering motivation and self-confidence

Dedicated to intellectual exploration, PSP aspires to bridge the learning void that often occurs during the transition periods from elementary school to high school, and high school to college. Through grade- level specific activities such as interactive research, instructional workshops, academic competitions, conference and parental involvement, the program seeks to:

  • Promote interest in STEM fields
  • Develop critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Enhance self-esteem and academic confidence

Collaboratively, the Principal's Scholars Program, parents, private industry and school personnel are joined in an interactive partnership which encompasses working cooperatively to ensure the academic success of program participants.
