Youth in third to eighth grades will be excited to experience the hands-on activities in Windows to Asian Cultures. This exciting new curriculum consists of four units exploring the values and customs of the Asian countries of China, Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam.

The 16 lessons are designed using the experiential learning model, so youth have the opportunity to reflect on the activities and apply the concepts to their own lives. Each lesson is tied to one of the Six Pillars of Character™ and also focuses on at least one life skill and one Asian value.

Also included in the curriculum are pronunciation guides for foreign words, additional resources for each country, Illinois Learning Standards (including Social Emotional Learning Standards), and a user friendly teacher evaluation tool. Windows to Asian Cultures is available as a spiral bound book or CD.
